Tourism Minister Launches ‘Saudi Summer 2025’ Program

Riyadh: Minister of Tourism and Saudi Tourism Authority Chairman Ahmed Al-Khateeb launched the 2025 “Saudi Summer” program themed ‘Colour Your Summer’ at the workshop event organized by the authority.

The event gathered over 120 partners from across the Kingdom’s tourism ecosystem, including representatives from both public and private sectors, to foster collaboration and align efforts for the upcoming summer season.

Running from May to September 2025, the program will showcase six diverse destinations, ranging from the moderate-climate coastal cities of Jeddah and the Red Sea to the cool highlands of Taif, Al-Baha, and Aseer.

Key highlights include the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh from July to August, along with the vibrant Jeddah and Aseer Seasons featuring a variety of events, activities, and promotional campaigns.

Minister Al-Khateeb emphasized the importance of the workshop as a reflection of the collective commitment to advancing Saudi Arabia’s tourism industry, noting the private sector’s contribution of over SAR 300 million in preparation for what is expected to be an exceptional summer season.

He highlighted the season’s potential to welcome more than 41 million visitors from 18 countries and generate SAR 73 billion in tourism spending, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s growing status as a premier global destination.

Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority, described the summer offerings as transformational, with over 600 unique tourism products and experiences and more than 250 special offers.

He pointed to attractions such as the pristine islands of Shebara and Umhat in the Red Sea, new luxury resorts including St. Regis and Desert Rock, five new beaches in Jeddah, and the cool retreats of Aseer, Taif, and Al-Baha.

The “Colour Your Summer” theme reflects the rich diversity of Saudi Arabia’s tourism assets, designed to cater to a wide range of visitors with coastal and mountain destinations, international events, exclusive offers, and an extensive portfolio of tourism experiences across the Kingdom.

This initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s strategic efforts to enhance its tourism sector and create vibrant, memorable experiences for both domestic and international travelers.
